yes there are those issues, but the country is so large and strong, these things are almost peripheral in impact. For example the financial markets are relatively stable, although will get most unstable going forward.

If you compare to say Mexico, Phillipines, or Venezuela right now its not even close.

America is like a super-mall; it has something for everybody : those who hate liberalism, progressism, etc, are in love with it now, because of Trump. Those who love those things hates Trump but still love the US. They just hate a portion of its population. The same way they hate the conservative portion of their own population.

Most people are still fascinated by the US, even those saying americans are idiots.

It goes on and on, they're insular as hell, they love bomb visitors with food and sports, that's why they earn the permission to remain archaic beasts.
