Heard steve young giving an interview talking about being a quaterback who can run, He said: "I was focused on being an intellectual threat from the pocket"... :dahell: I've never heard dude talk about Qbs that way. He aint the only one. I"ve heard a lot of "beating them with his mind" comment over the past few months too.

nikkas go for that extra vocabulary when it involves black quaterbacks.I mean do you not use your brain when playing quaterback, better yet football??

dude also said this:
"Cam has always been an incredible physical challenge for NFL defenses," Young said. "Now they're in real trouble because he's become an intellectual challenge for defenses."
what does this even mean?? :russ:

Meaning he's surpassed his nikkardly limitations of relying on raw talent, and can now think :krs:

EDIT: From Google :mjlol:

nah man, shyt just went up a notch. The weird part, it wasn't even this bad with Russell Wilson. Heard Howie Long talk the other day, dude went with something along these lines: "Peyton, Brady, Rodgers(:dead:), they are different...they beat you with their mind..." :russ:

Code for slow white quarterback who stands there and gets killed because he's not smart or fast enough to scramble effectively.

But black QBs are the stupid ones :francis:

Never heard them say that about Tebow though when he was turning every play into a QB keeper :martin:
Come on breh. I for one heard lots of shade about 'Timmay' and his intelligence.

They didn't question his intelligence. He was winning. No one questions a white QB who wins. He was the great white hype even though he couldn't even throw a spiral. We all knew he couldn't QB but the same analyst who shade black QBs for winning with their legs had Tebow fever.

He won a playoff game, was traded to the Jets that offseason, attempted 8 passes with the Jets, and was out of the league the next offseason.

Analysts questioned his physical and mental ability. Same way they question Stafford's mental ability, questioned Favre's at times. Race definitely plays a part in what a lot of these analysts say, but they don't ignore the same issues when white QBs show them.

Two words. John Elway.

He wasn't drinking the Tebow kool-aid. He knew he was a shytty passer that was being kept in games by the defense so he upgraded. Tebow is out of the league because he wouldn't humble himself, no one's fault but his own.

Tebow completely humbled himself (he was pretty humble all along), dude was begging for a job. Completely changed his mechanics. Rex Ryan didn't give him a shot either, like I said he attempted 8 passes with the Jets, and no one wanted him because the media storm that came with him was nowhere near worth a borderline 3rd string QB. Almost no one hyped Tebow up on the NFL level, disproving your point about no one criticizing Tebow's intellectual ability, they questioned every aspect of his game, that's why he led the Bronco's to the playoffs, won an amazing playoff OT game and was out of the league less than 2 years later.

EDIT: As for "intellectual threat from the pocket", Steve Young was a very mobile QB who became a better passer as his career progressed, I didn't hear the interview but it sounds as though he's saying the same thing about Cam, which is completely true. He can still kill you with his legs, and always had a monster arm, but now he's got the poise to stand in there and make the right throw with the right amount of touch or power, which is a deadly combo. If he continues to progress he could honestly challenge for GOAT status when it's all said and done.
