Few things I take away from it. One, the classic argument of why it doesn't make sense to discuss race with non-Blacks comes to mind. Not saying it's always a waste of time, but with the same principle of choosing your battles, Black people can choose who they converse with too. Why waste your breath with an audience that will do everything in their power to not see where you're coming from? By extension, this is a classic case example of how naive Black women who self identify as feminists come off.
The other thing that comes to mind is, articles like this are why folks like Trump resonate with people. I'm not talking about race or gender either, more along the lines of class. As man, who will likely never see the bread those women at the table are making, that whole discussion was mind numbing. Like wow, this is what the folks in Hollywood find to be problematic. Sorry, but I can't relate. And apparently a ton of other Americans couldn't relate either which is why their support of Hillary did nathan.
