No, I think his point stands but I'm sure he knows humans will never work together unless it was absolutely required for survival. I mean you can look at a pack of wolves, they all belong to the same class but that won't stop them from attacking a lone wolf that wandered off into their territory. The only time I could ever see us setting everything aside to work together is if the end of our species was nearing due to the increasingly bad living conditions on this planet. Then it would be a race to find the next habitable location. But It really doesn't matter though, billions of years from now our sun will meet the same fate as every other burnt out star, it will no longer support it's system and everything we ever did on this planet won't matter. I mean fuk, this planet won't even exist after our sun burns out.
His point doesn't stand. We ain't on seen as equals. That's why people have superiority/inferiority complexes.
The fact that a person can even fathom such of an idea means we were never really equal.
I think you are attacking the bold portion of the text which was completely taken out of context. He was addressing a graduating class with his speech. Of course each race doesn't see the next race as equal it is a lot more complex than that on a social level. But we all fall under Homo genus, there is no denying that unless you outright deny classification.
Yes, I agree with you. The concept of race does exist and always will but his point was that race is only skin deep, which it is. We are all human, the various differences between each group of people are simply a result of everything he stated during his speech. His comment was just taken out of context and the creator of the image spun a different narrative which could lead people to believe the concept of race doesn't exist, that is completely false.Of course we're all humans, but that don't mean that race doesn't exist. It exist because we know we're different and because we're different that gives leeway for the idea of one race being superior to another.
