no pc gaming rig, will make one in the future when I free up more funds. Funny cus I grew up in my teens as a big PC gaming head building shyt with my brother. He's got a ridiculous setup himself back at our parents.

Building a PC can be surprisingly affordable if you source your parts properly and are willing to buy used gear.
You can build a respectable rig for $500-$700 if you’re a smart shopper.

My set up isn't as impressive.
Many different reasons: a longer chat/discord, much easier manipulation of spreadsheets/documents and not having to scroll as often. Ask yourself, when you're on The Coli on your phone, how do you hold your phone?
It's the same concept.
But you're also forgetting the main one: space.
A 16:9 monitor takes up horizontal space, and you may not have the desk space (or even room space) to accommodate that, especially if you have more than one monitor.
