I was thinking about this the other day. I'm certain my friend had his album back in the day , (1998/ 1999) but I can find little evidence of the thing online .
Got me thinking of some other stuff he had that I never heard of again . Like this dude Caffeine . Anyone remember this?? :

"our own republic", "the block's hot" and "genovese's thesis" were the shyt.
i think those cuts were all slated to be on his debut lp that got shelved, but i'm not sure. i heard those cuts on mixtapes in 97.
this was my fukkin' joint when i first heard it on a dj camilo tape...lord tariq fukkin murked it and that beat was
man tariq was such a fukking beast during the money boss players days...shame he never got any shine til "deja vu" dropped and then that shiny ass make it reign lp didn't properly display his gutter style at all. him rocking over classic street beats by minnesota were fukkin undeniable fire.

Yeah pretty sure he was on Jive . I remember I used to like the 2nd track on that album.
Did a little more googling on Genovese . The song I regularly used to listen to was F**k Y'all , from My America .
Unsure if any of these reminiscings stand the test of time though.
I remember Genovese was signed to Universal and had adds in the source with other groups that were to Universal and never dropped either like Ram Squad
yeah i heard that biggie was really close to signing him to go along with junior mafia but his death ended that.
supposedly cats say that the reason that the feds were watching biggie aroudn the time of his shooting was because he was getting close to genovese and genovese had legit mob ties...
