When you look at all the bullshyt, the lives and futures ruined to us by the dominant and other groups…I’m drawing blanks on as to why recently some brehs have decided to turn up on people from African countries and the islanders?

Did I miss something? What gives?

pretty sure it started with immigrants looking down on black Americans...

the negative stereotypes of blacks in America is definitely perpetuated in immigrant communities

that was the spark..

then angry nikkas online just fueled the back and forth from both sides

Black immigrant families said ADOS is lazy and don't want their kids to act like that. See their Old twitter posts shytting on us before they get famous

after college... the Black immigrant is hired by a big company where they are one of the few Black ppl if not the only one. They feel like they're the voice of Black people and culture

Sometimes its all depending on poverty.
Poor people vs poor people always ends bad.

A person who has travelled before or lived in areas with immigrants not in poverty
has a different outlook

Poor/uneducated people are usually excused for being ignorant.

It’s the overall lack of unity and respect for black skin.

There are many black Americans who are embarrassed about africa. On one hand, I don’t blame them. On the other hand, africa can benefit greatly from them.

If enough black Americans made visits to africa to help educate them on how Europeans really feel about them, it will begin to change the fortunes of the continent, for the better.

When you teach black Africans about all the murders and rapes committed against them, the intellectual properties stolen etc, it will plant seeds of revenge in their minds.

And revenge doesn’t have to be violent.

Usually, in real life, bickering between black Americans and African immigrants would take place in the form of some isolated incidents (Africans holding stereotypes against ADOS as being lazy, violent, rude, jealous, etc., ADOS holding stereotypes against Africans as being backwards, undeveloped, weird, silly, submissive towards whites)

But again, these were mostly isolated incidents. Most interactions were fine.

Then suddenly in the last few years, it became this big topic online, that was made worse by online losers deciding to take the bait so they could get a power trip (etc. "Africans are smarter and better than you, you're slaves!" Or "all you africans are c00ns" with some stereotypical exagerrated african names or jokes) instead of downvoting and reporting the content.

The reality is that most ADOS and most Africans don't really have any strong feelings against each other. Some adults may hold some stereotypes, but only few of them hold them strongly. For most it's not even a common subject that gets brought up.

But the issue is that the strongest vocal minority always has to project their feelings, and people who respond to it feel the need to defend their side, thus amplifying this divide.

Its both sides from my experience. My dad is from Nigeria but came here for college in the 70'a. Sadly some people in my moms family/community spoke down towards him because he's Nigerian, but he brushed it off and thats what all of us should do instead of this nonstop name calling and finger pointing....its a waste of time.

yeah that would def solve africas problems, start teaching history in african schools and all the problems will easily be washed away like they have done for african americans ...this site can be amazing:mjlol:

I just have a few questions on this
"immigrants looking down...." topic
anyone can care to answer

When you were growing up, was there any set of, or type of kids your parents said "do not play with or hang out with them"?
for whatever reason
maybe that kid gets in trouble a lot, steals etc

Is your parent "looking down" on that kid?

Or your parents did not care what kind of friends/associates you had?
