My favorite movies are star wars but the whole saga. Same way I gotta listen to an album all the way thru.
Psycho is my favorite Hitch film for sure tho
I like E.T. and Jurassic Park more than Jaws.
Basically im not gonna tell anybody they are wrong for choosing those three.

Yeah see that’s the argument of fav vs best. Casino royale is at times my fav movie of all time. It’s back and forth between that and godfather. But in no way do I think it’s the greatest movie of all time.

Didnt have any comedy in it though like most of the team-ups that occurred afterwards. In regards to the action/crime/comedy combo we might have to throw Pryor and Wilder in the mix too.

The Birth of a Nation. The message was and is horrible and unfortunately it led to the rebirth of the KKK. It's impactful because it was the first blockbuster and first film shown at the white house. At the time it was innovative for it's film technique.
Blade. Showed that superhero films could be taken seriously after the disaster of Batman and Robin.

Yeah a lot of movies regarded as classics were flops of their time. A Christmas story? Flop. It’s a wonderful life? Flop. Wizard of oz? Also. Vertigo? Flop. Godfather wasn’t a flop but the studio had no faith in it whatsoever and was prepared for it to be a massive failure. It was a B movie by their standards and just wanted it to be done and over with. shyt citizen kane, probably the most influential flick ever, was a flop and shut out at the Oscars
