George Lucas didn’t direct Red Tails
Yeah i know. He only did the extra footage/reshoots.
But that whole project was HIM. He claimed that was his 'passion project'
The HBO version was better

Spielberg has several genres in his filmography and he did The Color Purple to establish himself as a director capable of doing serious work. Why shouldn’t it be in his filmography?
I know that, but that type of movie was anomaly for him compared to ET and the Indiana Jones movies
