What game announcements literally left you in shock?

Street Fighter x Tekken

Same here. Probably the last game that had me in true shock/awe upon seeing. Funny too, cuz the initial rumors of the cross over days/weeks before it happened, I was barely enthused at all for it to happen. Seeing it action blew my mind for a second. Too bad Capcom royally fukked up how they ultimately handled the game though. I still like it tho.

Before that, the only other games that had me in total awe upon seeing them was LittleBigPlanet, Devil May Cry, Grand Theft Auto 3, Metal Gear Solid, Final Fantasy VII, Tekken, Chrono Trigger, Street Fighter 2 and Super Mario World. All of these games however met and/or exceeded my expectations of them.

I still think the 2012 E3 watchdogs trailer is one of the best I've seen.

It's been over a year and I'm still hyped to play that game of the strength of that one trailer.

I remember getting that copy of either EGM or Gamepro mag that had the announcement they were doing the console version. Damn near shed a tear.

They compared the Arcade version to the SNES version with pics showing how the SNES one would be inferior but I did not give a single fukk. Copped that shyt first day

Actually, now that I think about it, the Watch Dogs and Killzone SF trailers did have me in awe as well. The latter to the point that despite that I don't really vibe with FPS, wants to play it.
