We are about to enter 2015. That will be the 15th year of the year 2000 (common sense sentence). People used to look at the year 2000 as "the future" (the Jetsons' flying car stuff). We are not there yet, but I know that tech keeps improving. What great tech developments have been made since the year 2000?

If you just want it to be tangible final products, look no further than the combustible engine. The amount of efficiency and power that has been achieved just in the past 10 years alone is an incredible leap from the 90s. One could by a Nissan Altima that would not only get better gas mileage, but would be faster and quicker than a Corvette from the early 90s with much smaller engine displacement.

-the die process for microprocessors has completely changed and is responsible for so much processing power in such a small package.
- much more advanced AI
- electromagnetic rail gun
- laser weapons
- Curved molecule glass like Gorilla Glass 3
- Ultra-Dot Blue LED
- Autonomous vehicles(not just cars, many warehouses use them to gather and stack packages
- targeted consumer analytics
- ion powered space craft
- multi-grafted fruit trees
- genetically altered crops

there are tons. Didn't even get to the theoretical finds

There have been leaps and bounds made in biotechnology.

We will have the ability to de-sign super humans. We already have the tool set (CRIsPr), which was invented recently.

We still are having trouble deciphering phenotype functionality of the human genome, which is a small hurdle that will be solved soon.

the greatest tech innovation since the year 2000 is the shyt you just typed this stupid question on. THE INTERNET. the fact its exploded all over the world and has connected billons of people in real time. who coulda imagined 15 years ago that a maasai warrior in Africa could have access to all of human knowledge in his palm at any moment. something President Clinton didn't have access to just 20 years ago. https://plus.google.com/+PeterHDiamandis/posts/fncgXR6Bq34#+PeterHDiamandis/posts/fncgXR6Bq34

the internet and what its produced in the last 15 years from social media to youtube is alot more amazing than any Jetsons flying car. having access to all of human knowledge in the palm of your hand is alot more exciting than having a small airplane to fly around him (which is what flying cars essentially are).

The person who can make straight hair grow out of a black woman's head will be an automatic trillionaire.
