As I'm flipping between the UNC versus Iowa Michigan State versus Notre Dame and the bulls vs hornets I see a lot of driving to the bucket and athletes but no true basketball skill. It seems nobody can shoot the footwork is trash and the overall flow of the game just isn't the same anymore. Almost all of the big men nowadays can't do nothing but dunk and the guards nowadays either charging into the lane or throwing up long threes. So what happened brehs

AAU and the whole pre NCAA circuit. They're training well condioned athletes

True its like 85% of ballers now don't even have there elbow tucked in like just basic basketball stuff and their IQ is smh
Shooting/spacing/passing/running lanes/flow of the game just simple stuff thats lacking like most players just are athletic but basketball is way more than running and jumping but it seems thats what its come down to IMO
Watching Kobe play the Wizards today, as a Wizards fan this is true. Kobe was doing shyt that seems to be a lost art. Backing down and shooting fadeaway jumpers. Using his footwork to create separation and space off the dribble.

I think it's also the flow of the game. Idk if i should give Pringles props or hate him for that. But now the game is faster and teams are drafting accordingly. All five positions have been affected. I think Point Guards for the best and Centers, seeing as they are non-existent, for the worse. And also as a consequence we get all these bum ass 'tweeners that hardly pan out. Derrick Williams wtf.. he's terrible.

If you watch these summer tournaments it's basically a and1 tournament all that's missing is the guy with the microphone.No fundamentals are learned they'res no team ball no movement without the ball it's basically the star player going one on five while his lackey coach cheers him on

The Spurs don't do anything more than move without the ball and take good shots. Teams/players just don't want to do that.
