Alot of inter-feuding between the owners Lush-One, Mad Illz, an Drect (about money). KOTD and URL were on the comeup (URL moreso than KOTD) and GT started losing their battlers to those leagues and werent putting out the same quality product. Then apparently they had loosely affiliated smaller leagues throwing battles using their brand an it hurt their stock even more. Lush-One left to goto KOTD and GT just fell off.
It's not out of business it just fell off and everyone that started it left

Another reason not mentioned/linked, was a lack of quality control and too many divisions.

Basically, it all started with GrizzleMania 2. Kap Kallous funded that event himself. All the other heads wanted to split the profits. Problems started.

What you talkin about is Chicago battleground but tbh, they did a cross promotion with GTMW. I saw your quote and felt your point was more on the lines of The Jungle, Animal House, Texas Battle League and a couple of others that were affiliated with URL
Upstate, DMV, Colorado, North West/Seattle were all GT divisions. 3 of those fall geographically under the banner of divisions already about GTEC and GTWC/West.
