Does he only sound real good over high quality Dre beats around '99 era ? Cause if so...

Is there any example of an artist that was under Dre, got "shelved" and did anything truly great afterwards ?

He was put front and centre on Chronic 2001 and then that was the end of his chapter pretty much immediately.

His album got shelved by Aftermath, and he didn't even really have any prominent guest spots after that.

shyt was weird. I thought he was pretty nice but was he was no Snoop. I remember downloading the bootleg version of his Aftermath album and it was good but breh just became another Aftermath artist lost in the shuffle.

I wonder if he get's much royalties from all them Chronic 2001 guest spots :jbhmm:
Why do you care about the most irrelevant rapper ever?

I don’t know about success, but Stat Quo made some good music post Dre/Shady
Marsha Ambrosius is the only successful artist that I can think of.

Now she's back to working with Dre and her album was reportedly completed 3 years ago. Dre just seems so rich that he can afford to finance music that he can listen to at his house/studio. He probably doesn't care that much about releasing music to make money.
