What happened to people using catchphrases?

A lot of catchphrases are things people saw on TV or heard in songs and just copied.

Nobody gonna say "we got ____ on the ____" or "____ want some more nikka" because that's very embarrassing.

TV shows are mostly streaming too there's less pressure on writers to come up with a repeatable phrase that people will say out loud for brand recognition.
