Viggo killed it in Eastern Promises. Viggo is an extremely picky actor like Daniel Day Lewis, he passes on a lot of films. Norton is also choosy, but he's also disliked by some in Hollywood. Both are incredible actors.

Yeah, he killed in Eastern Promises and The Road and A History of Violence. These are great movies. I don't think Viggo is an extremely picky like Daniel Day Lewis or Guy Pearce. He was all in the movies, eyes on him then all of the sudden he's disappear.

Why Edward disliked by some in Hollywood?....where did you hear that from?

Viggo is extremely picky. He likes arthouse films. And indie films. He turned down big payday movies like Snow White & The Huntsman. Edward Norton is known as a difficult actor. And isn't scared to voice his opinions on projects he works on. There's nothing wrong with that, but that rubs some people in power like producers and studio execs the wrong way.

If the material doesn't speak to Viggo's sensibilities he won't do it. He doesn't chase paychecks like some actors.

Respect that for Viggo but I miss him to see him acting in the movie...been a f*cking long time.

Damn, I heard he got a problem with The Hulk movie and heard that when they tried to offer him in The Avengers but he turned down....is it that true?

He had a lot of creative pull in the Hulk movie, and was viewed as "difficult" to work with. I don't think he's difficult I think he's really passionate about the projects he works on and wants them to be good creatively as much or more then financially. The bean counters in Hollywood only care bout the money. They only tolerate difficult actors if they are on Tom Cruise level etc. Marvel tried to lowball him for the Avengers and his agent was pissed and called them out on their bullshyt. Marvel is notoriously cheap. But I heard they really lowballed him because they didn't want him back as the Hulk and wanted a fresh start.

Norton a great actor though, so he's always work. But he's not sought after by studios. Normally it's big directors pushing to cast him. Like how Tony Gilroy pushed to cast him in Bourne

All those Viggo movies are small arthouse type films. And Norton's movie, Budapest Hotel is by Wes Anderson big time director who does arthouse films with great actors. And Birdman is by an artys director as well.
