I was the man in high school - smart was in all the top classes, head boy of my student body elected by my peers, was an avid member of model UNs and debate teams
You can be cool and smart-
it's the socially inept people who blame their shortcomings on the "popular kids" that are the truly insidious people. Why would you want to see someone fail in life because they sat on the cool table? The jealousy is disgusting

they conducted 10 year study and this was their findings, so this has nothing to do with feelings or opinions
like with anything in life there are exceptions and outliers, but for the most part everybody knows this to be true
also, if a study like this can persuade a kid living for high school to get their shyt together, isn't that a good thing?![]()
Of course but kids should also note that high school is a time of fun and development
the rhetoric that automatically assumes all the popular kids were a$$holes and jerks and would accomplish nothing in life - it's mostly founded in bitterness
