i'm thinking of applying. but i'm thinking of doing something with engineering or business. tell me shyt about the schools if you know anybody who attended, if you..yourself attended, visited the school, basically anything. i know things about the admissions process, financial aid, and all of that. i also have a good amount of bread saved up.

:ehh: let me know.

I went gram and have a degree in biology; a couple of my homies majored in electrical engineering have jobs and are doing pretty well. But to tell the truth; the homies said the eet program was not that good. FAMU has a good engineering program that is partnered with FSU; but the thing you have to understand, yes you can go to that top engineering school, but you have to get the job done.

What you can do is contact the National Society of Black Engineerings and ask them for advice on schooling and etc.

My brother went to NCA&T he majored in computer and electrical engineering for undergraduate. Seemed like they had a really good program. He did well and liked the program.

NC A&T is the truth for engineering. Morehouse too and their program is in conjunction with Columbia U, GT, UMich and a bunch of other really good schools.

Can't go wrong with Howard/Morehouse/Hampton

My best friend just graduated from Howard and was a Business major. She did really well and has job offers from everywhere flowing in.

Morehouse/Spelman/Howard are the trinity and the only schools I would pay for my kids to go to. The others are not bad but kid would most def need to earn a scholarship. But The main there are the spots top companies pretty much go to for their "token" blacks, so you have a good network of people in the right places, so you can soak up game and then spin off and do your own thing.

Salute to everybody's alma maters, the lists, etc etc.

I'm the product of an HBCU and majority of my family is too, undergrad ,masters, doctorates and all that. But to make this decision, an IMPORTANT one, I advise you to go on an HBCU college tour or take the time to visit your top few choices.

Go spend an hour or two in the spring touring and getting a feel. Please go in the SPRING, trust, you'll get a good perspective of the beauty of the campuses and the women. :win:

I went to one my junior year of HS, spring 07 and visited a good number of schools on the east coast. I eventually went to NCCU and graduated in 2012. It's important you visit though man, that's key. If you ask me it's about what you put in and how you maximize your time and network at a school. Sure, infrastructure, staff, and students will be different from a PWI, but you can graduate and make the same bread just by applying yourself and tapping into opportunities provided.

Are you a nontraditional student?
