Realistically I always thought Master P was More of a threat than the pro black rappers signed to a white label cause he was actually in ownership & would slip in pro-black & conscious shyt in terms of black ownership between other lines that wasn't

Being signed to a white owned label & spitting conscious shyt isn't as threatening as being indie & spitting non-conscious shyt cause those labels don't be knowing their objective, motive etc

Grand Puba IMO always was the best of Brand Nubian and IMO made better music than BN, personally I think Reel to reel was a better album than any BN release. It had more energy IMO and Proper Educstiob is so god damn fire. conscious song with that much energy is undeniable

First time I ever heard anyone say Puba solo is better than the first two Brand Nubian albums. I personally think the In God We Trust album is their best work and a classic and that's right after Puba left. Reel to Reel was light.
