What if a team was rewarded more points the longer the touchdown is?

25 yd td= 7pts

50 yd td= 8 pts

75 yd td= 9 pts

Imagine a team being down 9 pts at the opponent's 23 yd line with 10 seconds left.

To tie the game up, they'd need a 25 yd touchdown and a 2 pt conversion. Problem is, they're at the 23.

*QB takes snap and kneels at the 25 and calls timeout*

Now, they have a chance to get 7 pts from a TD and can tie if they convert the 2pt try.
