First of all the child support/court system in this country is beyond a joke. All a woman has to do is nothing and she can get whatever she wants. But what if it was like this...
The average income for an American last year was around $40k. (It would be better to do it by state maybe to account for the cost of living)
$40K is a more than decent wage to raise a child
What if a man only has to pay the difference with her salary/income?
ex..if she makes $32K a year, that would mean the man would only need to pay $8K/yr which would be $600+/month.
If she makes over $40K then he wouldn't pay anything. And if she doesn't have any income then she would not be fit to take the child.
I bet if it was something like that, a lot of women would be careful about having/keeping a baby and getting divorces.
