The poorest county in the country is Owsley County, KY, which is about 99% white. The food stamp participation is 52%. Yet they overwhelmingly voted Republican.
These folks are so dumb, the GOP gets their vote simply by talking about abortion and the three Gs (God, guns and gays).

Keep the guvmint hands off my welfare! :lolbron:

I'm on my phone. I'll see if I can link it up but there's a search button.

Knowing this site though the thread is probably titled "cac devils vote against food because they're racist"
I'll wait.

But not for too long :shaq:

Uncertain grounds
Third parties would have a shot if we didn't do first past the post voting i.e. winner take all.

that would help too.

but a lot of the people who don't vote or disenchanted not necessarily disenfranchised. those are the types that could rally behind a 3rd party guy. if those parties targeted smaller positions more (in towns) and then in state districts..they could eventually make legit pushes for bigger positions. i think most 3rd parties are misguided by focusing a lot of their money on high profile positions just to get the ideals out to the public more. they are hustling backwards

Pres Obama wants to make it illegal not to vote

Following low turnout of voters during the last midterm elections— especially among groups known to favor the Democratic Party — President Barack Obama has expressed support for the idea of making voting mandatory in the United States.

Obama was in attendance at a town hall meeting at the City Club of Cleveland on Wednesday to provide answers to some questions raised by participants. In response to a question on how to curb the influence of campaign money in elections, the President suggested that mandatory voting might just help to solve the problem. He said voting should not be made difficult to the electorate.

“It would be transformative if everybody voted,” Obama said. “That would counteract money more than anything. If everybody voted, then it would completely change the political map in this country.”

Obama noted that mandatory voting is already being practiced in some countries around the world, including Australia.

Any eligible voter that refuses to vote in Australia can be fined or even sent to jail if such an action is repeated.

are you free today? oh you think so? you do know they can bust your door and take you to jail right now and say i saw you typing the words of a terrorist. and by the time your lawyer(if you have one, if you can afford a good one) gets you out. you've already spent time behind bars and away from where you were. is that freedom? NOPE.

if you have kids. they can send in the folks to come snatch up your kids because they HEARD someone say you were abusing them, even if the evidence does not prove that at all. is that free? NOPE.

we aint free. we have the illusion of freedom because our setup isnt as harsh as some 3rd world country or some super regime thats on that nonsense. but best believe. we aint free like you think.
Real talk fam. I was an ex-cop so I can only hope for a false arrest to occur. Slam them on any falsified search warrant and arrest warrants. That would get me a huge-azz lawsuit settlement so I could go to the nearest Porsche dealership, wearing my casual workout clothes, and just buy a Porsche 911 Turbo in a casual manner, like going to CVS or Rite-Aid to pick up some prescription medicine.
