fukk Avon’s rat ass. Stringer tried to save his organization and - more important - life. Avon tried to save an antiquated sense of street credibility that people like Marlo didn’t care about, sacrificing his A1 in the process and destroying the Barksdale empire.

Stringer was smashing ole boys baby mama while he was in prison and was moving wrong after Avon wasn't around to keep him in line.

Avon and String actually complimented each other. String was trying to give Avon a sense of legitimacy and Avon reigned in Stringers worst impulses.

As a team, they worked. The second they let issues get between them, neither of them was gonna make it without the other one.

Man, we’re all trying to get a piece of ass. That’s almost the sole pursuit of life for every male. Their excesses may have impaired the growth of the Barksdale empire, but there’s no denying that Stringer was well on his way of making the two of them unimaginably wealthy and shielding them from any ties to the drugs. Despite his missteps with Clay, he still successfully brokered a connection with the plug that allowed Barksdale to overcome the inroads Marlo was making. Avon set Stringer up and, as a result, sacrificed his empire.

This shyt again? Do you have any idea what business he was in? Stringer was so delusional :mjlol:

Rule number 1, none of your fancy economics class legit business rules apply when your product is illegal.

Rule number 2, in a business where the product is illegal, there is no regulation, law enforcement, court of arbitration, or mediation. The whole industry is anarchic. It is an anarchy because there is no law, and no legal system. The strong do what they will and the weak suffer what they must.

Rule number 3, in an anarchic environment conflicts of interests between one business and another business in the same illicit industry, or conflicts of interest between one business and its customers, or between one business and its suppliers, cannot be resolved by peaceful means.

Rule number 4, therefore, military power is the only way by which a business can protect its interests and its market share. All businesses have to invest heavily in military build-up, otherwise they face disaster.

Apart from Avon and Marlo who were the only ones to recognise these plainly obvious rules of the business, the whole rest of that universe man, they were fukking living in some sort of fantasy universe. What business are you in? You can't do that "co-op" shyt when your product is fukking illegal :mjlol: even Joe and all the Eastside bytches as Avon calls them needed Marlo to muscle up for them to run off the New York competition. Even the guys who 100% bought into the fantasy of a co-op ultimately needed the pure militarism of Marlo to save their asses.

If Stringer was half as smart as he pretended he was, he should have clocked out the minute Avon got out. Go be a full-time builder. You've surely earned enough money to get your construction business up and running. Why do you need to be into drugs then? There was no need. He had enough easily to put up one apartment block, plus lots of properties he already owned. His construction firm was guaranteed to succeed without a single dollar coming from staying in the drug game. It was idiotic of him to stay in drugs when in his heart he wanted to be in legit business, and when he already had millions in cold hard cash to bankroll his projects, never mind taking out business loans.

Do you realize how many cartel principals went to business schools?
