A team stays home. Play a three game set against an a opposing team. Each game is at least a day apart. No back to backs.

Example narrative :

This week the Lakers got the Spurs.
Game 1: it was close but the Spurs pulled it out.
Game 2: Lakers made adjustments and just lost it at the end.
Game 3: Lakers won that one easily the young team is learning.

I think this makes things interesting and a little more watchable since you can see how teams react as opposed a one-off against the Suns.

Now imagine LAC GSW week.
Cavs Raptors week.

This would cut down on injuries and travel time.

There's not enough games during the NBA season for this to work nor would I want to see it because opposed to say, seeing warriors/clippers players a game in November and then another in March to see how much has changed we would see all their games in a single week.

This idea would greatly increase how long teams stayed on the road. Higher hotel costs, and unless you want teams on the road for several weeks at a time, you probably have to make a lot more separate trips, as opposed to now where you take a 4 day trip and play 3 games.

Most of the series would have very little intrigue.
