:ohhh: The Tunguska Event was a meteor that hit Siberia in the early 1900s and was the largest recorded impact in recorded history but since the impact was in the middle of nowhere and it didn't hurt nobody it was forgotten. But what if it hit a relevant population.

Depends on where it hit. I also think it would have to be something like an intentional impact. There is more space then there are relevant areas in the world. It would most likely hit the ocean. That would still be a cause for concern, though.

Same reaction.. incompetence masked by policies and regulations,self serving politicians and a lack of unification to combat a global issue. The aliens could land and tell us to unite or die and it wouldn't work.
