We do this thread ao often might as well merge em but the answer, imo, is the 95 Nebraska team followed by the 01 Miami squad.

Low key the 2013 FSU squad is HIGH on my list.

The '01 Canes had a more talented roster in hindsight, but they needed a fluke INT to beat Boston College and barely squeaked by VT. Meanwhile, the '95 Huskers absolutely dominated every single team they faced.

The '01 Canes look more impressive on paper than they actually were because you look at the roster now and a LOT of those guys went on to have great NFL careers, but at the time, some guys were barely getting playing time because they were underclassmen.

Urban's Gators teams with Tebow are certainly up there as far as most talented, as are '05 USC, '13 Noles, Saban's Bama team with McElroy that dethroned the Gators, etc.

Nebraska was insane. I think they trailed once all season and won every game by like two tds or something

Curious to see what they say about the '13 Noles a few years from now when Jameis is a pro bowl QB, Jake Coker likely has a Nat'l Championship to his name, Devonta has a rushing title and few pro bowls under his belt, Los Williams is a top 10 back, Kelvin is a pro bowl WR, Jernigan, Joyner, and Telvin Smith keep ballin, Ramsey is a top 5 pick, Darby is a shut down corner, etc.

fsu was dominant, and finished in the top 2 in the nation in yards per play for and against which im not sure many teams have ever done, but their lack of competition in the acc that year and having a close title game probably holds them back in a best of the best debate.
