What is Ab-Soul Best Work Currently?

You can tell how he's grown as an artist from Longterm, to Longterm 2 (which were both ehh to begin with), to Longterm Mentality (which, while better than Longterm 1 & 2, was still not that great), to Control System, which stands above the rest as his best work.


With introspective songs (Nothing's Something, The Book of Soul), hard hitting bangers (Track Two, SOPA), and overall dope songs all cohesively coming together to explain the premise of the album title, there's no doubt that Control System is his best work (so far).

lets hope Unit 6 be as stellar.

What makes it average to you? (Serious question)

Overall it just wasn't anything special as a project. Album was good right out the gate but as it moved along a lot of the tracks just seemed real drawn out and he was kinda ramblin at points. Mostly it was the back end tho, shyt fell off on somn serious till the closing with book of soul/black lip bastar remix

I fukks heavy with illuminate tho. One of my favorite songs from last year

Definitely "Control System" to me. Like every artist on TDE they continue to grow with each album, and to me it's always a step forward.

In saying that, two of my favourite Ab songs were on Long Term Mentality.
