He hasn't dropped any bad material to date. First album sold well for what it's worth (#17 Billboard 200), and was well received. I personally think it's one of the five best albums of 2016.
Extremely underrated rapper. He is versatile behind the mic, and can transition between southern blues inspired crooning to straight bars and everything in between. Beyond that, I think Isaiah has an unique vibe to his music -- it's similar to Big K.R.I.T. and Curren$y but quite atmospheric and relaxing without being boring. Plus the TDE machine behind him ensures top notch production value.
I think Top Dawg can push Isaiah Rashad heavily. He's got the songwriting and singing ability to deliver radio friendly hooks, and the drugged/spacey aesthetic to appeal to a younger audience.
Songs like West Savannah really encapsulate what Isaiah can deliver. He's eating right now, he's come a long way from Chattanooga. Any way you slice it, he's made it.
