I feel like these guys don't get enough attention or recognition for being one of the better duo's this decade. I been rocking with them since Indigoism and they haven't put out a wack project yet. I don't live in NY but I don't understand how the hip-hop stations out there aren't showing them love. Its not like they're making "outdated" 90s hip-hop music, they're making music young teens/adults are gravitating torwards. They're on that spiritual, meditation, new age type of wave, so it might not be for everybody. But I feel like they should be bigger than they're are. The Underachievers have an interesting, refreshing style.

Lots of things:
a) they need a cosign. 99% of modern hip hop fans are followers and need someone who can tell them what's hot

b) They're wild inconsistent, especially their production. I think they shine best when they're making shyt like "TADED" and "Root of All Evil", but then they make other shyt with weaker production which has me like :dahell: What exactly is their sound? Maybe they're worried they sound too similar to ASAP Rocky on Indigoism. :yeshrug:

c) most importantly, they don't have the right image at this time. Interscope spends millions making sure Kendrick looks as baby-faced as possible, while pretending he's a new wave of artistry that the old generation loves. Who exactly are Underachievers trying to be?

Good luck. I made a thread on them more than a year ago that went absolute wood.

edit: By the way, that second verse on Root of All Evil is better than anything I've heard Cole/Duck spit. Issa Dash has one of the better voices of the entire new school.

They are underground and want to stay that way

And if u listen to their music it's pretty obvious why they haven't "blown" up
