What is it with PBC and having fighters be so inactive for so long?

- Malik Scott was on the Porter Way podcast and he talked about wanting Deontay to fight at least 3 times a year
- He also said it ruins star power because they are less visible to the public and being a household name

- Deontay been inactive for like 14+ months
- Stephen Fulton been inactive for 14+ months before he fought Inoue
- Spence been inactive for 14+ months
- Keith Thurman since forever
- Charlo been inactive for 14+ months
- The only active fighter on PBC is probably Boots Ennis to be honest


And people wonder why it's hard to promote these fights to the general public and get better PPV numbers

They expect huge paydays, even for fighting lesser opps, and in spite of not being household names.

Looking online, I'm seeing reports stating that deontay earned anywhere between 10-20million for the fight against helenius. The fight didn't even sell 100,000 lol.

Fighters can't expect to be paid such high purses, and also fight 3 times a year.

Honestly the biggest disappointments are the PBC fighters that were GB fighters on their way up before the Schaefer double cross..their generation is almost up and its a lot of underachieving and/or they flamed out...Oscar built them up with solid matchmaking and all of them went astray...the lone outlier being Jermell Charlo...it's a shame

Seems like across the board we are lucky if a non prospect fights more than 2 times a yr.
