Reason-based love- If you love someone because they are the most funny/smart/beautiful are some combination of characteristics, in a monogamous system, doesn't that set you up to leave that person as soon as someone more funny/smart/beautiful or a better combination of those comes along?
If you can love more than one person-- your partner dies and then you find someone else-- why is it okay to love serially (one after another) but not synchronously (at the same time)?
