I have to give it to What’s Going On; it proved that artists could create political art and it could be popular. Marvin bet on himself with Berry Gordy’and he won.

Stevie Wonder gets credit for his “classic period”; justifiably so. But Marvin really doesn’t get recognized for his. WGO, Trouble Man, Lets Get It On, I Want You and Here My Dear are all classic albums.
