Big Yella
22 years old (2013-2014)
December 2012 was the month I was about to finish an internship in toronto and I had finished school, making the upcoming months and the new year very promising and hopeful towards job opportunities. January (the month of my birthday) hit and once all the new years and holidays finished it was grind mode and I was hell bent on finding a gig (Broadcast Media) just looking to start out with whatever job I could find or contract gigs for shows I could help get my feet wet first. For the entire year it was just disappointment after another
-Went months without a job despite the mass number of applications sent
- Money i saved up to get me by was dwindling down
- 0 p*ssy (virgin at the time)
- no girlfriend (not that it matters but shyt it would help ease the pain a little)
- ending up having to grind at a Home Depot to put money in my pocket
- got in a car accident and lost my parents car because of it (complete write off)
- taking shytty assistant low end gigs with 12-16 hour days with shyt pay that led nowhere
- at the height of how hard it was to find work in my field I barely got a couple interviews and was still being snubbed through emails
but through all of it, I lost most of my weight in this stage and found serenity in the gym
shyt became my natural habitat and i accepted it. Now that i'm 24, I could honestly say that was a great year because it taught me how to dwell in life, especially since way worse could happen. Taken lessons from close friends and my own experiences to learn the game in terms of life, job markets, women even better workout tips
I can only imagine how much worse some of yall have compared to this
