IMO most DLC in general is a ripoff, but let's talk about map packs. When I consider DLC I always keep in mind the amount of new content I'll receive compared to the base game. There was a point in time where Activision was charging 15 bucks or 25% of the base game's cost for a 4 map pack.
You mean to tell me those 4 maps contain content equal to 25% of the base game's content?
I find that unlikely.
This is the main reason I think I'm going to pass on Destiny's DLC. I love the shooting and squading up with Coli brethren but man.. I just can't justify paying $20 for what Bungie is offering.
No new planets
Opening areas that were already present in the main game
Wanting 1/3 of the game's price for DLC content that is well below 1/3 of the game's total content
Miss me with that Bungie.
