I have a few low points but the one that always comes to mind is when my mom got laid off and we didn't know when/what we was going to eat. We would go out in the evenings and look for bottles because the store would give you 10 cents for each bottle we brought back. We would walk around parks and streets in the cold looking for bottles. We literally didn't know what we were going to eat that day but we always ended up coming away with a few bucks to buy some canned goods.

Another low point for me was when I ran away for the last time. I was literally living in the streets trying to hustle any money I could. I would chill with my boys during the day and shoot ball but at night, they would all go home and I would be left wondering where I was going to sleep. A few nights, I slept in my friends garage until his mom caught him sneaking me some food. It's all good though because at 17, I made a promise to myself to never be broke again and never have to depend on anybody else for anything. I've had bad times since then but I've been able to maintain and I appreciate things a lot more.

2012: I was homeless for a little over 12 hours. This was when I first moved to NYC. I was living with these two girls in a sublet situation and I was done with the sublet and had no lace to go and no money. Rather than ask for another day to stay, I just left and slept in a park in Crown Heights. Once I had some money on my credit card (I ha to wait 12 hours for it to clear), I went to the nearest hostel.

2010: I was having a really difficult time in school so I checked myself in to a western psych ward for 8 days. It was a harrowing experience, but it helped me out and allowed me to collect my thoughts.

November 2000-April 2001 . I got into a car accident and I didn't have wheels for five months, became inelgible to run for my college x/c team the meet before our league championship race after dropping a class they told me was ok :wtf: and having to put my dog of 11 years to asleep :to:All of those things happened in the same week and I fell into a deep depression because I used sports, my dog and my Truck to try to fill the void of losing my dad two years prior. Working at Jack In The Box Drive-Thru during that time didn't make things better .

Try to be the shoulder to cry on when you don't have one to cry on for yourself brehs
:sadcam:

:damn: So what happened? How'd you get back on

Quit my shyt job and got my ride back in April. I'm pretty independent and getting my truck back (Uncle in Berkeley took it in to do the body work for a fraction of what the bodyshop offered) was :blessed:

Not being cooped up at home feeling bad and getting out more with friends was my therapy.
