Can someone more knowledgable let me know if this isn't a terrible decision by Wilder?

I did not realize that his new trainer, Malik Scott, got knocked out by Wilder in Round 1, in an obviously thrown fight..so much so that it was asked about in multiple interviews...

Then the same guy Scott got booed and warned against Louis Ortiz for running around like an idiot and getting clipped again...

And he apparently got hurt by Fury in sparring.

So, Wilder fired Breeland for a guy he knocked out in Round 1?

To be fair what does his career have to do with his quality as a trainer?
His lost to Wilder did look sus at the time but if that conspiracy is true that only means they had a good working relationship dating to way back then :russ:
I was wondering if this is giving more “yes man” vibes than “getting better and avenging a loss” vibes. Like this is the only guy I see in camp footage, and it’s all motivational talk. Then to see this guys pedigree…makes me nervous.

Some of the best trainers were only aiight/ok at boxing
There's a gigantic difference between being okay/aight at boxing and what Malik Scott has done and been accused of in his career. Wilder needed a real hand in his camp and instead he found a yes man.

as a trainer im holding my thoughts about it until i see what he did with wilder come saturday night

as a fighter though...he was a real underachiever even though he was a solid boxer...his fight with glazkov is a robbery no one really talks about

Wilder will only hire some sort of a yes man. Just the way he built..he felt like he made it this far with the same attitude. So why rebuild what is already working:manny:

He a top 3 heavy (nowadays) even with how delusional and one dimensional he is.

They've released like 30 videos of Wilder training. We gotta see what he looks like in the ring, but Wilder has NEVER looked like this in training. So if Malik is a "yes man", he hired a good one because Breland wasn't doing shyt with him.

Looks like wilder bulked up even more, I figured it’s the reason his legs weren’t there the first fight.

@Hov We have to see it in action but he's talking a good game, here's a good read on what they've been working on.
