We're on the blood path now
Mine is Henry IV part 1 and 2. I really resonated with Prince Hal. Dude was royalty, but was running around the slums with the drunkards and thieves. By being with them he learns the base nature of human kind, how the subjects truly act and think. With this he's able to outthink Hotspur and help bring an end to the rebellion. His father the king dies and he assumes his place as the king, drops the facade he had been carrying around, and puts his "friends" in jail.
He was always a prince/king, he just let the responsibility go until he had to step up and assume his place as the king--who he is. Thought it was a real powerful play.
What's y'all's favorite?
