TJP was the logical choice to get the push. He has TV experience from his time in TNA, and had his whole hypebeast dabbing thing during the CWC which separated him from the rest of the pack who were mainly just athletic and didn't have any character attributes. TJP also made sense from a timing standpoint cuz Ibushi and ZSJ didn't sign, and they were the favorites to win, but by then it was too late and TJP was the most ready made guy out of the ones who were still left in the tournament (someone who can speak English, has somewhat of a discernible character, and has a marketable look)

I still like TJP but every match on the main roster so far he's relied on his moveset and he became boring to watch after a little while. He also can't cut a promo while Kendrick and Swann can, and he pretty much turned Roman-Cena heel in the CWC which should have been a red flag. They really need to give him some time in the PC cuz he's wrestled with a mask most of his career so he doesn't really know how to emote and display charisma, and his promos are ridiculously cheesy and bland.

I also wanna add TJP is kinda over, he does get a decent reaction

He aiiight... has a marketable look and a dope entrance, but doesn't build off of any of it persona-wise.

It's kinda like that Charlotte promo on Bayley from yesterday... he's wearing a Halloween costume He's a plain dude dressed up in a colorful vibrant gimmick.

He needs to drop that stupid dab he does, makes him look like a total tool. Loved him as manik, not liking his gimmick right now but he's great in the ring.

Bland ass dude who has been the same technically proficient but robotic and bland guy in every company he's worked for. Legitimately the least interesting guy to win the CWC of the elite eight. Wasn't even as interesting as the guy he beat to enter the tournament, Fred Yehi. Dude has made dabbing his signature. Weak ass psychology where 90% of his moves are to the head, but his finish is a leg sub. Wearing bball shoes in the ring. Wearing Beiber circa 2012 pants.

They think he is way to Indy looking and is mic skills are weak
He doesn't really have a strong character/gimmick compare to Kendrick which was why Morgan & Russo think he justplus they both LOVE Kendrick so there not going to be completely fair in there judgement.
