Are you stealing food off an artists plate? What does this mean to an artist (whether they're successful, struggling, or on the come up)? How would you react to an artist stepping to you looking to shake you down for their discography money?

A necessary evil? Let us build...

I dunno I cant really make up my mind about it. Yeah, you still stealing from the artist but if they are on a major label most of their money isnt coming from album sales anyways. I usually buy it if its artists I really like a lot, otherwise its a DL

I know that I am "taking money from the artist" but at the same time, even if I didn't download the album, I wouldn't buy it anyway. Sounds kinda fukked up but its the truth. There just isnt enough consistency on albums anymore to make me want to buy a whole album from an artist. Yes there are a few I will buy, but its rare

I've been buying most of my shyt lately off iTunes.

I really only download mixtapes. I hate singles, but I do make exceptions :yeshrug:

After years of getting rapped on cd prices by the big corps and so many lackluster releases Im just not taking a chance on anyone that I am not a big fan of. I cop all the artists whos music I like but even then I download it first. For example, I've bought all of Currensy's retail releases but downloaded it the second I get hit with a link.

I wit Biz, if I like i buy it.

But I'm past buying CDs sight unseen. I gotta hear it first.

My other problem is these days the Artist free mixtape is better than their CD.

What I look like actually purchasing a subpar CD when I just heard their mixtape a month ago and I know they can do better?
