I don't know where you are at, but look into bus driving. Depending on where you are, you could be pulling in anywhere from 40k to 60k a year. In San Francisco Bay Area the drivers at google are making 26 an hour to drive the tour bus vehicles, full benefits, medical, dental and vision.

I work at a tire manufacturing plant. I have to wait 2 years, but afterwards, full rate is between $23-26/hrs with all the overtime you want.

This local plant is the only non-union plant under this corporation in the entire world, so most likely it will remain in operation for the forseeable future. They're getting ready to open up shop in Mexico, though, like Ford.

My dad's brother doesn't have a degree and he was a longshoreman. They may work weird hours sometimes but they make bread. My uncle made a lot more than my dad. Merchant seamen make a lot of money too more than a lot of college graduates.
