What keeps Ice Cube from being labeled the GOAT rap artist?

Cube sits in my top 5 at number 3. He is truly UNDERRATED in this era because it's been so long ago since he was on top of the music world but the man had the game on lock at one point and was truly the best rapper alive from 1989 -1991. People mentioning Hov because of his success but let's not forget who helped kick down the doors for hip hop to get so large through films. His pen game is wicked. I admit his stuff after War & Peace hasn't been as good though. He did have a chance to have a massive music come back if he wanted to but at the same time his legacy speaks for itself.

Im not tyring to start anything but honestly i think its tupac. Everything cube did tupac did. Cube was on that pro black shyt, pac was on that pro black shyt, cube transitioned to gangster music, pac transitioned to gangster music, cube did movies, pac did movies etc. He was basically an ice cube clone just a little bit better. You cant even call cube the king of gangster rap because pac is in his way. Hell you cant even say hes the goat to ever come out the west coast even tho he is, because when people think west coast they think of pac before cube imo. And like dude said when cube took that hiatus pac was taking his spot. It is what it is

What keeps cube out of that discussion is, imo, that nowdays he is more known as an actor than as a rapper....
He had an amazing run back from AMW - Predator/Lethal Injection but after that the albums he dropped weren't up to par. Thats the problem for me, after his peak he continued to release music, but it often seemed to be nothin more than a side project to his movies.... He has a couple cool songs, but I can't find a truly great Ice Cube album after Lethal Injection...

Top 3 for me

1. Tupac...overall the best... lyrically not better than Nas, but a bigger impact overall plus classic albums.. 3 of them for me..

2. Nas...lyrically the best of all time... don't have the impact of pac, but solid albums for the last 20 years with 3 classics

3. Ice Cube.. probably had the best consecutive run in hip hop and classics from straight out of Compton, amerikkkas most wanted, kill at will (ep) , death certificate and the solid predator and lethal injection.... then the Westside connection lp and raw footage and laugh now cry later .. dude resume in hip hop is top 3 or 5 alone
