What kind of Self-Hating Canadian roots for American Sports Teams?

It's like every bandwagon forest ranger on here from north of the border is a Lakers Fan. Don't they know Canada has it's own NBA and NFL teams (Bills ) Or the famous, i didn't root for the Expos or Blue Jays but I'm a Yankee fan (which by all accounts should make you a terrorist in Canada)

It just doesn't make sense to me. If there are any Canadians who actually root for Canadian teams in here please come and reveal yourself and receive this dap.

I break it down like this. as I can imagine what Canadians are like

If you live in a small town or city in the US, maybe a town or city that has like a D league or AA or pretty decent college team. I mean it's cool to root for your little team and everything, but you are gonna ultimately gonna root for the big league team. I mean yeah, you want your little team to win out whatever they are competing in because its the same kids you greew up with or that you see at the diner (or Tim Hortons I think they have up there) but at the end of the day that shyt is local, you will never expererience being a fan of a "worl" champion if you only rooting for local shyt.
