A gang of shyt saying 0 weight but you at your total weight and see you hav 50 lbs of weight u can carry until u start mov unlike a snail....

lol, I'm saying there's nothing complicated about it. it adds up the weight of your inventory
OP seemed confused cause a lot of the stuff has no weight, but he still manages to be overencumbered. thing is all the other stuff still adds up
really the game is pretty lenient. so much stuff has no weight, and you can dump stuff on your companions ("I'm sworn to carry your burdens"). and when you do become overencumbered, it just makes you walk slow. games like S.T.A.L.K.E.R. give every item weight, and when you're over the limit, you can't move at all. that leads to some really tough decisions about what you can keep in your inventory

Lol you might be running into a glitch where an item will say it has 0 weight if you're looting off a corpse or something, but once you take it, its actual weight shows up. Might be because equipped items don't have a weight for AI.
