In 2019 Gangstas Paradise woulda did ridiculous streaming numbers and YouTube plays (on the flip side the album in ‘95 sold 3 million copies and probably wouldn’t have sold a tenth of that now). Music is just consumed differently. Funny you mention Gangstas Paradise because I loved that song so much I begged my older sister to get me that for my birthday. Now I can play that on an eternal loop without ever actually purchasing it. That’s the world now. I can’t change that.
