I just think he’s not a solo type MC. Some rappers NEED to be in a group. They fit that dynamic and for whatever reason they can’t hold down a solo album. Sometimes it’s not about skills - Rock is a BEAST - solo jist doesn’t work for him for whatever reason.

I feel the same way.

When he was dropping mixtapes like 20 years ago, I would download them and barely listen to them again. Rock was a perfect partner in HS with Sean Price though. But he doesn't have the same impact when he's solo.
