what really stops tical from bein' a GREAT and CLASSIC album like the other early wu releases?

they would have had some kind of detective movie chopped up in there just like how they did The Killer for OB4CL & Shogun Assassin for GZA :whew: that would have been crazy

dont do this to me breh :mjcry:

Me too tbh, but in the context of the first wave of Wu albums it would've basically been a Wu album showcasing Deck, with probably 3-4 solo tracks max imo :yeshrug:

thats true man, tbh i have no doubts it would have been at least a great album

just thinking aloud but i cant recall that flood ever being referenced in any rhymes...didnt really check for rza bobby digital stuff so maybe its in there or maybe im just forgetting

I think you're right, I was thinking the exact same thing reading this thread, and no don't remember it on any Booby Digital album either

nah i don't remember it on any songs but it's in the Wu Manual and i've read it in interviews. i think he has said it happened a few times but the one where he lost all the music was a big one. lots of rain one day and the studio/bedroom whatever in the basement just got fukked up

Thats top secret information
Tical is a classic and the comments in thsi thread do not dictate what was really popping in 1994/1995.

When Tical dropped it shut the game down....Meth was right next to Biggie as top soloist while Nas came in 3rd and Red was the 4th wing. Thats just the way it was...fukk the bulklshyt comments in thjs thread because they dont define what really happened.

In NYC a highschool kid got shot debating who was the best between Biggie Meth and Nas.....Jay flipped it years later when he added his name and removed Meth but that incident where the High School kid got killed squashes all the nonsense in this thread.

The streets of NYC bowed down to Tical when it dropped....and Meth became the MJ of the wu.

Nothing.

It's already a great release. I'd argue that it is classic release. From an attention/exposure stand point it was a big record.

During the time Method Man was THAT DOOD, if you were into Hip Hop even slightly you knew who he was. After hearing M.E.T.H.O.D Man, he basically was launched into stardom and then had a pretty solid run with the Mary J joint, which I think might have won a grammy? He wasn't on 'The What' for no reason...wasn't on All Eyez On Me for nothing....

Tical is a good album but I'd be lying if I said it was better than anything that followed it
