The major two religions that black people practice are the religions of the major practitioners of slavery.
The religions themselves include instructions on best slavery practices.

Vodun is an obvious choice. Predates everything and still creeps though Christianity to this day in Holiness churches and is combined with Catholicism in some straight "Voodoo" scenarios.
For me Zen Buddhism is the most meaningful. I roll the vestiges of Hindu into Zen sort of like the way Judaism exists within Islam (Judaism>Christianity>Islam : : Hindu>Buddhism>Zen).
Neither seems quite exact for the contemporary Black American (as much as we disagree on who qualifies: I define it as anybody with African roots that claims it).
In the spirit of full disclosure: I see Hip Hop as a spiritual path. I suggest that we flesh it out as a full on religion. KRS tried but that version is a bit dogmatic and too tied to the literal elements of Hip Hop music. The elements are holy to me in and of themselves but not quite suitable to base a global religion on.
