What satisfaction do people get by not saving phone numbers?

I have seen so many people, men and women, kind of brag about not saving numbers in their phone. I always looked at them weird. Seems like more work to try an remember who you are talking to or who is calling

I look long term and keep numbers cause you never know. Hell one of my exes might legit go missing and authorities need to get her number thru me or something...And in the rare occasion I do reconnect with people that “oh I forgot your number who’s this” shyt is corny as hell...comes off as try hard

it just makes it easier to delete the number when i dont save it.

Not only to I save all numbers but I save them on my google account too; that way when I change phones I keep the numbers ...

I'm the type of dude that don't remember phone numbers unless I physically press the buttons and that's just the ones that I remember 'cause I see a pattern. Like an Cross, a Z, or an X or some shyt. Once I'm called by a number, I find out who it's for and save it. Don't care if it's a one off conversation or if I lent someone my phone to make a call. I label it and save it cause if someone calls me from a number I don't got saved or it's marked Private.....then we ain't talking.
