What should be said about organizations like the Bulls and 9ers firing good coaches only to be trash

Just kinda funny. Both teams had a nice run of winning and playoff success for the most part. Did they get ships? No. But they weren't garbage either. Just look at the fall off the year after

Maybe a good portion of these players are of the physically strong, mentally weak variety.

Honestly, its hard to tell if that was a story spun by the media coming directly from the front office (who would have had every reason to bash Thibs further to fir their narrative)

but, lets say some of the players did quit on Thibs. One reason why this may have happened was because the front office made him a lame duck coach, it was known WELL before the summer that Thibs was finished in Chicago. Maybe it just got difficult playing for a coach who was on his way out?

Either way, its not the firing Thibs aspect that really fukked the Bulls over. Its that if you ARE going to fire a coach of his caliber, then you better be DAMN SURE you have a coach of equal or greater value in the wings ready to go

How about telling a coach that he will only sign him to a 1 year contract after his 5th championship, with that final year being their second 3 peat of the decade.
