Enough of all these :trash: ass race threads, let's talk about something more prevalent in lives such as our socio-economic classes . Personally I've came from a working poor class that never owned a home until i basically moved out at 19 :sadcam:. Both of my parents graduated from high school but never had the chance to go to college. They both worked the typical low-end wage job that didn't allow them the opportunity to grow. Having 4 kids and adopting 2 others(:wow:) slowed their growth ; but I’m pleased that they provided me with idea home setting so i could I have the opportunity to develop into an adult. So far I am the only one in my entire family to complete my bachelors and will probably be the one to complete my masters. Hopefully by me accomplishing those two significant milestones, the additional members in my family will follow my steps to better themselves....

I got two bachelors degrees. I work at getting good jobs. I don't hang out in unemployment mode, I get a job as soon as possible if I get laid off. I don't spend more than I earn. I don't keep up with the Jones. I don't gamble (well, never more than 10 bucks if I'm at a casino).

Joined the military, went from broke to comfortable allowing me to have life experiences that I would never have had. Been around the world and the U.S. before that I was stuck in my hood. Being able to travel at a whim is one of the best feelings in the world. Hopefully I get to go to Japan By june next year.

Right now I'm half way done with My bachelors, I'm taking my sweet time but That is about to change.

Education, financial literacy (saving, investing, and having great credit), and passing that along to friends and relatives so that all the knowledge doesn't die with me.

Came from an upper-class family. Busted myself down to poor cause I hate my dad, and have worked my way back up to upper-middle class.

Became the first person in my immediate family to get a Bachelors Degree (my mom has a general associates and my pops has some college credit but didn't finish). Got a good job out of school, got laid off in the recession, worked a crappy job until I got another decent one. :yeshrug:

I also avoided having kids young, so that definitely makes things easier financially.

My credit though :snoop:
